I joined Pat's team at the University of Hertfordshire in 2001 and we became very good friends. Pat was a very supportive boss and took me under her wing, she gave me the confidence to tackle every situation. When Pat retired we stayed in touch, we met up regularly for coffee or lunch and exchanged several long emails. Pat lived an active social life and her diary was always full. Although she had several medical issues along the way nothing kept her down for long, she was a fighter. I was very lucky to have her as my friend and I will miss her dearly. When my daffodils come up in the Spring I will always think of you. I hope you are at peace now Pat.

Pat was my dear friend and work colleague for many years in Creative Arts. After she retired we met every week for a coffee and a catch up. In February she arranged a celebration for my 60th birthday and I have a very happy memory of that day. We laughed often and never found it difficult to find something to chat about. She was a loyal and thoughtful friend and I will miss her.

I have known Pat from when I started at the University 23 years ago up until she retired then a group of us started to go out together for either Breakfast, Lunch or dinner. Pat always used to organise this and we always went somewhere special for a lovely catch up. I for one am going to miss my very dear friend, she meant so much to a lot of us.
My thoughts and love to her wonderful family at this time
